Costs and payment
I offer online, person-centred counselling to adults and young people aged 16 and over throughout the UK.
You can choose from a a variety of session lengths and a range of platforms including:
Microsoft Teams, Zoom, WhatsApp or Google Meet.
Sessions can be weekly or fortnightly, depending on your preference and how much focus may be needed to support with the topics and issues you wish to explore.
We will discuss your preferred session length during our initial discussion.
Unless in the case of a change in personal circumstances, if agreed during a review, or if we recognise that more time may be needed to cover a deeper topic, sessions will continue be the same length throughout.
1. 15-minute consultation, free of charge.
I offer a 15 minute consultation, free of charge, which can be carried out over the phone, by text on WhatsApp, or by video link.
This allows us to introduce ourselves to each other, assess suitability and for me to understand your needs fully before our sessions begin. You may have initial questions which I will be happy to answer during this discussion.
2. 45 minute session - £38
A shorter session can be a good option if you have a busy schedule, prefer a more focused session, or find longer sessions tiring.
3. 60 minute session - £50
The standard length session, which most clients find is the optimum for effective therapeutic work.
4. 90 minute session - £70
90 minute sessions can be useful when there is a lot to explore, for example during particularly intensive periods of counselling or when we agree that additional time could be helpful.
5. Counselling Students - £38 for a 60 minute session
If you are undertaking a counselling qualification I offer a reduced rate of £38 per 60 minutes.
Making Payments
Payment is due when booking a session, or within 48 hours of the start of the session as agreed during our initial discussion.
Payment is made by bank transfer, and I will share my bank details when we have agreed our first session.
Cancelling a Session
I ask for at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or rearrange a session.
-
Less than 24 hours notice: the full session fee will normally apply
-
Missed appointments: the full session fee will normally apply
-
If I need to cancel a session, I will give you as much notice as reasonably possible and, where appropriate, offer an alternative appointment.
I understand that unexpected circumstances can arise, and I will consider exceptional situations with compassion and fairness.
The Client and Counsellor Agreement
Once we have agreed the day and time of our first session I will email you the Client and Counsellor Agreement which includes important details about how we will work together.
On the form I ask for certain details from you in line with Galini's Privacy Notice and to help ensure your safety in the event of an issue regarding your safety.
Once you have completed the form and signed it I ask that you send it back to me before our first session. If you have any questions or concerns about the form you are welcome to contact me before our first session, or we can discuss these when we meet.
